India's women's football team ended their campaign on a high note with a thrilling 3-2 win over Malawi in the third-place play-off of the FIFA Series Kenya 2026.
Astam Oraon scored in the 18th minute, followed by Aveka Singh's goal in added time of the first half (45+1'). Malawi responded through Khumalo Ireen (42') and Henry Deborah (60'), but substitute Priyadharshini Selladurai sealed the victory with a goal in the 84th minute at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on April 15.
The result secured third place for India in the tournament.
