A 79-year-old Indiana man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting his wife during a dispute at their home.

James R. Chelf of Allen County greeted officers at his front door in the Woodlake Estates Mobile Home Park in Yoder on Friday night. He reportedly told them, “just my dog and my dead wife,” and later said he had “just went nuts” and “just lost my mind” during an argument while his wife worked on a project in the bedroom.
