The championship, organized under the auspices of the International Police Sports Federation, kicked off with intense rounds at the Police Sports Federation Arena in Subhan. On January 29, 2026, riders competed in jumps measuring 120 cm, 130 cm, and 140 cm, drawing participants from various nations focused on precision and speed in show jumping disciplines. Tomorrow, January 30, the finale will include contests at 125 cm, 135 cm, and 145 cm, promising thrilling culminations for the athletes aiming for top honors. The arena, a hub for equestrian activities, has recently hosted the Equestrian League, Dressage Championships, and the Global Dressage Challenge, all sanctioned by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). A dressage training camp further underscores the venue's role in fostering the sport through collaborations between the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and the Police Sports Federation. Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousuf, Chairman of the Police Sports Federation, highlighted the event's significance in advancing local equestrian efforts. He expressed gratitude to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef for his ongoing support of sports initiatives. In a statement, Al-Yousuf said: > The conclusion of the local show jumping league will be hosted at the Police Federation facilities, highlighting our partnership with the Kuwait Equestrian Federation. This demonstrates the commitment of sports institutions to unify efforts and advance equestrian sports in Kuwait. All facilities will be available for competitions, training camps, and equestrian activities, helping develop local riders and raise the standard of the sport. Overseeing the competition is a panel led by International Judge Nidar Al-Mustafa, joined by Khaled Al-Ansari, Raghad Al-Dabbous, Ibtisam Al-Aarouri, and external judge Ines Bigdel. Course designer Andreas Stoyper-Bamberger crafted the challenging layouts. International Bahraini Judge Mohammed Dadallah supervises arena judges including Badr Al-Haifi, Asma Malallah, Dr. Yahya Al-Hadban, and Anna Alexandra Spirento, with Dr. Haya Ibrahim as the FEI veterinary delegate.
