Former Formula 1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve has warned that Red Bull faces a tough rebuild after losing key personnel and its competitive edge.
Villeneuve spoke on the Sky Sports F1 Show after the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. He stated that the team has "lost its sparkle" and described it as a "very political place" marked by internal strife.
The Canadian noted that Red Bull has parted ways with figures including Christian Horner, Jonathan Wheatley, Helmut Marko and Adrian Newey. He added that Max Verstappen remains the standout element alongside the team's engine.
Red Bull currently sits fourth in the constructors' standings. Villeneuve said the squad must settle its leadership issues before any recovery can begin.
