Cleveland Guardians third baseman José Ramírez has collaborated with Franklin Sports on a limited-edition pair of CFX Pro batting gloves featuring vibrant colors. The gloves became available to the public on Wednesday, with Ramírez planning to donate 75 pairs to youth in Cleveland's RBI programs. This marks the first such custom design tied to Ramírez that Franklin has brought to market.
GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- José Ramírez, known for his flair on the baseball field, has partnered with Franklin Sports to create custom CFX Pro batting gloves that reflect his unique style. The gloves, which include eye-catching colors like light blue, pink, orange, and yellow, were made available as a limited-edition release on Wednesday.
Ramírez, the Guardians' third baseman, will donate 75 pairs to children participating in Cleveland's RBI baseball and softball programs this year. The design process began during Spring Training last year, with Ramírez providing input to ensure the gloves stood out. He started wearing them toward the end of the 2025 season and has been associated with Franklin throughout his career.
“I like choosing different colors,” Ramírez said through the Guardians. “I picked these various colors because I like having different, rare colors that grab attention.”
Drew Gundlach, Franklin Sports’ senior director of player and brand strategy, highlighted Ramírez's desire for uniqueness. “[Ramírez] likes to be different,” Gundlach said. “He wants to wear gloves that are unique and rare and are unlike anything anybody else has. So taking that feedback from him, we worked up some designs that we were proud of, and we thought he would be proud to wear. And turns out, he loved them.”
Gundlach added, "We want to celebrate our best players, and José has been one for years. We wanted to put him at the top of the pedestal and make sure we started 2026 off with a bang. José is no better guy to do it with."
Fans can also use Franklin's online feature to design their own batting gloves, similar to those of their favorite players.
