Two polls released Thursday show declining support for President José Antonio Kast after nearly 100 days in office.
The Criteria poll, conducted on June 11 with 802 respondents, recorded 39 percent approval for the president, one point lower than the previous measurement. Disapproval rose five points to 52 percent.
The Descifra survey, carried out from June 10 to 11 with 1,314 cases, found that 66 percent believe the president has not met their expectations. Fifty-one percent rated the government's installation negatively.
The fuel price increase was cited as the most relevant event of the first 100 days by 37 percent of respondents in Descifra. Finance Minister Jorge Quiroz was viewed as the most influential by 46 percent.
