Kris Statlander defeated Mina Shirakawa in a qualifying match on the latest episode of AEW Collision to secure her place in the TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest bout.
The victory came after a back-and-forth contest. Shirakawa appeared close to winning after escaping a Saturday Night Fever and landing a spinning back fist, but Statlander reversed a second Glamorous Driver attempt into a pin for the three count.
Statlander, a former TBS Champion, joins Persephone and Hikaru Shida among the confirmed participants. Shida advanced by defeating Zayda Steel, while Persephone beat Julia Hart.
The six-woman Survival of the Fittest match is scheduled for the July 1 edition of AEW Dynamite. Additional qualifiers are set to continue on the upcoming episode of the show in New Mexico, where Harley Cameron will face Marina Shafir.
Willow Nightingale vacated the TBS title last month after suffering a shoulder injury during a May 16 defense against Red Velvet.
