Leksand has added forward Josh Passolt to its roster. The club discovered the American player while scouting another skater in HC Nitra.
Leksand's leadership group was reviewing video of a different player when Passolt repeatedly caught their attention. Hedberg said the forward showed strong drive and played straight to the net.
The club then began a full scouting process on the American. References from players and coaches in Nitra confirmed Passolt's character and work ethic both on and off the ice.
Hedberg noted that Passolt brings grit, finishing ability and leadership qualities. He added that the new signing is the type of player the team can rely on in tough situations.
The deal was completed after Leksand officials spoke directly with Passolt. The club views him as a strong addition for the upcoming season.
