Matilda Kilström, 33, joined the Social Democrats due to anger over the Sweden Democrats' entry into parliament. She is speaking at the May Day event in Smedjebacken. The engagement became a way to channel her anger.
The Social Democrats are celebrating May Day with speeches and, in most cases, demonstration marches in 13 of Dalarna's municipalities. In Smedjebacken, 33-year-old Matilda Kilström is speaking at Vasatorget in the town center.
Kilström says her anger over the Sweden Democrats' entry into parliament prompted her to join the Social Democrats. “The engagement became a way to channel my anger,” she states, as reported by Dala-Demokraten.
Birgitta Wiberg covers the event. The celebration marks the party's traditional activities on the labor movement's holiday.
