McLaren announces multi-year Intel partnership as tech firm returns to F1

McLaren Racing has formed a multi-year partnership with Intel, marking the technology company's return to Formula 1 after nearly two decades. The deal covers F1, IndyCar and sim racing, with Intel serving as the official compute partner.

The agreement positions Intel as the provider of Xeon and Core Ultra processors to support McLaren's operations. Intel logos will appear on one Arrow McLaren IndyCar entry at the 2026 Freedom 250 in Washington DC, with expansion to the Indianapolis 500 planned from 2027 onward. The company will also partner with the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team, featuring branding on simulator rigs this month and a full virtual livery from 2027.
