Ten Morena legislators and one from PVEM requested leave on Tuesday to register as candidates for 2027 governorships. The party's internal process began Monday, June 22, with surveys.
Five Morena senators and five deputies, along with one PVEM deputy, left their seats in the Union Congress to register as aspirants.
The senators include Nora Ruvalcaba Gámez of Aguascalientes, who already registered on Monday the 22nd, Ana Lilia Rivera Rivera of Tlaxcala, Reyna Celeste Ascencio Ortega of Michoacán, Beatriz Robles Gutiérrez of Querétaro and Verónica Díaz Robles of Zacatecas.
PRI senator Anabel Ávalos accused the 4T legislators of using electoral tricks to get ahead of legal campaign timelines.
Morena will decide candidates through internal surveys. The National Elections Commission will select three women and three men per state, with results between late July and early August.
