Mother of Isabella Nardoni demands expulsion from A Fazenda 17

Ana Carolina Oliveira, mother of Isabella Nardoni, expressed outrage over a video from A Fazenda 17 in which contestant Carol Lekker jokingly recounts threatening her four-year-old stepson. The São Paulo councilwoman demanded the immediate expulsion of the reality TV participant from Record's show. She emphasized the seriousness of normalizing violence against children on a highly visible program.

The incident drew attention after a video circulated on social media, shown in an episode of A Fazenda 17, where Carol Lekker laughs while describing a situation involving her stepson. In the account, the contestant states: “And I, with the scissors over [him], like this. You know that's important? I'm going to cut that off.” The statement, made in a joking tone, prompted the reaction from Ana Carolina Oliveira.

In a social media pronouncement, the activist and São Paulo councilwoman from Podemos expressed shock at the content. “As if children had no voice, no rights. Instilling fear in them is the only option that fits,” she said, emphasizing that such attitudes contribute to normalizing child violence. Ana Carolina, nationally known since the 2008 murder of her daughter Isabella Nardoni – a crime committed by the father, Alexandre Nardoni, and the stepmother, Ana Carolina Jatobá –, works on projects to prevent violence against children.

She demanded immediate action: “This woman said this on a highly visible program. I regret that this person is still in that place and also regret that the responsible bodies have not yet taken action against her so that she is, at least, expelled from the program and held accountable for these acts.” Ana Carolina concluded: “Making this kind of threat is absurd and it must be addressed. We don't stay silent here. We will take measures so that this ends.”.

Carol Lekker, married to Dutch businessman Maik Riksen, faces growing criticism on the reality show, but Record has not yet commented on possible expulsion.
