Netflix revealed on Monday that The Night Agent will wrap up with its previously approved fourth season. Production on the final installment started in Los Angeles, marking the end of protagonist Peter Sutherland's journey, played by Gabriel Basso as a low-level FBI agent uncovering a government mole and conspiracy. The series is based on Matthew Quirk's novel of the same name and also features Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington, Louis Herthum as Jacob Monroe, Albert Jones as Aiden Mosley, Amanda Warren as Catherine Weaver, and Ward Horton as President Richard Hagan. New cast members for season 4 include Titus Welliver, Li Jun Li, Trevante Rhodes, and Elizabeth Lail. Shawn Ryan, the show's creator and showrunner, stated, 'Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I've been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland's journey.' He added, 'I'm so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans. We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget.' The third season arrived on Netflix in February, leading to the renewal for a fourth season two weeks later.
