A new postal regulation enters into force in Sweden on June 16 2026. PostNord may now deliver letters every third day and the requirements for delivery reliability are lowered.
The government has decided to remove the requirement for every other day delivery of letters.
Instead PostNord may deliver letters, newspapers and advertising every third day. The requirement that letters arrive on time is lowered at the same time from 95 to 85 percent within three working days.
The new system applies from June 16 2026.
