Real Madrid have named José Mourinho as their new head coach for the next three seasons. The appointment was confirmed by the club on June 11.
The Board of Directors of Real Madrid C.F., meeting on Thursday, June 11, and presided over by Florentino Pérez, agreed to appoint José Mourinho as the first team’s head coach until June 30, 2029.
A club statement said Mourinho will join on July 13, the day preseason begins. This marks his return to the club for a second stint after managing the team from 2010 to 2013.
During his previous spell, Mourinho guided Real Madrid to a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup while reaching three successive Champions League semi-finals.
