Rockstar Games announced the price for Grand Theft Auto 6 on June 24. The standard edition will cost 80 dollars while the Ultimate Edition is priced at 100 dollars. Physical copies will contain only a download code.
The announcement confirmed that pre-orders for the game begin at midnight local time on June 25. Physical editions become available on November 12 to allow pre-loading ahead of the November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Rockstar stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 is a single-player experience at launch. No multiplayer modes or GTA Online features will be included on day one.
Two retailers focused on physical media said they will not sell the game. Video Games Plus and Loot Box Gaming cited their policies against stocking products that contain only digital codes.
