Rögle coach Dan Tangnes has cautioned against rising expectations for 18-year-old forward Tinus Luc Koblar after his strong performances in the SHL and at the World Championship.
Koblar, born in 2007 and standing over 190 centimeters tall, was signed by Rögle from Leksand ahead of the upcoming season. He broke through last year in the SHL and with the Norwegian national team, and impressed during the spring World Championship against top international players.
The player holds a valid contract with Rögle but has also signed a three-year NHL agreement with the Toronto Maple Leafs. His immediate future remains uncertain, with decisions on a possible loan expected in the coming months.
Tangnes described Koblar as a super exciting talent with natural aggressiveness and raw potential. He noted the player's size and development prospects but warned that expectations could become too high following his international success.
"He is just 18 years old," Tangnes told HD.
