Samsung launches Galaxy S26 series with design, chipset, and battery upgrades over S25

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 series in India with a refreshed design, more efficient Exynos 2600 chipset, and larger battery compared to the Galaxy S25. Preorders are open, with sales starting March 11. The older Galaxy S25 Plus is now discounted on Flipkart.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. It is now available for preorder in India, with official sales beginning on March 11.

Key upgrades include a new design with a unified camera module, contrasting the individual cutouts on the S25. Color options are Black, White, Sky Blue, and Cobalt Violet. Performance is powered by Samsung's Exynos 2600 SoC on a 2nm process, succeeding the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite in the S25 and promising better efficiency and power.

The base Galaxy S26 has a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate (up from 6.2 inches on the S25), a 4,300mAh battery (increased from 4,000mAh), and 25W fast charging. Pricing starts at Rs 87,999 for the 256GB model, higher than the S25's Rs 80,999 128GB base.

The Galaxy S26 Plus starts at Rs 1,19,999. In light of the launch, the Galaxy S25 Plus has seen a significant price drop on Flipkart.
