Accompanied by Governor Salomón Jara, she stressed: 'Here freedoms are respected, no one should be subdued by anyone [...] I say we are the most democratic country in the world and oh! conservatives get so angry. But look, in no other country in the world is the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation elected, only here in our country is the Supreme Court elected'. Sheinbaum downplayed criticisms: 'On March 8, some criticized us, it doesn't matter much to us', referring to recognition of women in the Armed Forces. She reaffirmed national sovereignty citing constitutional article 39 and called López Obrador 'one of the giants' of Mexico.
