Delhi Police's Crime Branch Anti-Gangster Squad arrested a shooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from west Delhi's Uttam Nagar area in coordination with Rajasthan Police. The accused, Pradeep Sharma (23), faces two FIRs in Rajasthan related to extortion, firing incidents, and illegal arms supply. He was wanted for demanding Rs 4 crore from a businessman in Sri Ganganagar in March 2025 and firing at his residence in May.
A shooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Pradeep Sharma, was arrested on Friday from Uttam Nagar in west Delhi. The 23-year-old from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, was linked to crimes including extortion, firing, and illegal arms supply in Rajasthan.
According to police, the case traces back to March 2025, when members of the Bishnoi gang demanded Rs 4 crore in extortion from a businessman in Jawahar Nagar, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. After the businessman refused, Sharma was allegedly assigned to carry out a firing to intimidate him. In May 2025, Sharma and his associates fired at the businessman's residence, leading to a registered case and arrests.
Released on bail, Sharma continued his activities by supplying arms and ammunition to Bishnoi gang members. In December 2025, four gang members were arrested in Jaipur's Jawahar Nagar area with a large cache of weapons, and Sharma was identified as the source during the probe. A separate case under the Arms Act was filed against him in Rajasthan.
Based on intelligence inputs, the Anti-Gangster Squad tracked Sharma to Uttam Nagar and conducted a raid on Friday, resulting in his arrest. He was handed over to Rajasthan Police after questioning. Officers stated that Sharma operated primarily in Rajasthan, aiding the gang in crimes by providing weapons. Investigations continue to identify his associates and uncover the broader network.
