Italian boot maker SIDI has launched the Taurus GTX, a new premium boot designed for adventure riders seeking all-weather protection and comfort on mixed terrain. The boot combines dirt protection with long-range support, inspired by SIDI's motocross heritage. It features advanced materials and adjustability for on- and off-bike use.
SIDI, an Italian boot manufacturer, introduced the Taurus GTX on March 10, 2026, targeting adventure (ADV) riders who tackle off-road paths while prioritizing all-day comfort. The boot promises breathable waterproofing through a GORE-TEX membrane, suitable for year-round riding in varied conditions.
The construction includes a supple microfiber upper reinforced with high-density TPU in impact zones, offering durability without the bulk of full enduro boots. A key highlight is the 3-point flexible ankle support system, which stabilizes the joint on uneven terrain and includes active support to prevent hyperextension. Testers report it feels less stiff than the SIDI Adventure 2, with a wider toe box and softer sole that facilitates walking or hiking off the bike.
Fit is adjustable via dual NUUN 001M dials, a system similar to BOA that enables quick, one-handed changes to distribute pressure evenly and reduce hot spots. Additional features include a stretch tibia panel and wide opening for easier entry, accommodating various calf sizes. The Materiis rubber compound sole provides multi-surface traction for footpegs, loose terrain, or pushing the bike, while a streamlined inner profile enhances riding precision. Replaceable components allow for extended service life.
SIDI positions the Taurus GTX as its top-tier adventure-touring option, delivering 100% waterproofing, comfort, and off-road protection without full motocross rigidity. It is available in Black, Deep Forest, and Sand Ochre colors, in sizes 8 to 12.5 US (41 to 47 EU), with an MSRP of $599.99. Warranty coverage is one year in the U.S. and two years internationally.
