IK Sirius leads Allsvenskan after three matches with over 20 percent attendance growth in four years. Long-time supporter Henrik Ågren, backing the team for nearly 30 years, calls the atmosphere indescribable. The club's success fuels a league-wide fan surge.
IK Sirius from Uppsala tops Allsvenskan after three opening matches. The club has boosted attendance by 20.1 percent from 2022 to 2025, averaging 6,743 spectators per match last year. Data from TVmatchen.nu, based on allsvenskan.se, highlights this trend.
At Studenternas IP in Uppsala, the change is evident. Henrik Ågren, a Sirius supporter for nearly 30 years, recalls when 500 fans were a good turnout. "It is quite big when you stand in this sea of people shouting in unison," he says.
Ågren describes the team's impact on fans' lives. "I feel the morning after how my body reacts differently depending on whether we won or lost; it affects one's mood," he explains. He dismisses concerns over fair-weather fans: "Yes, what's wrong with that?".
Allsvenskan overall saw about ten percent attendance growth in the period, with Sirius among the strongest growers after Mjällby AIF and IF Elfsborg.
