The Super Mario Galaxy Movie earned $69 million domestically and $83.5 million from 82 international territories during the weekend, according to box office trackers. Its running totals stand at $308.1 million in North America and $320.6 million overseas. Universal anticipates the film will hit $700 million globally soon, with upcoming releases in Japan on April 24 and Korea on April 29 timed to holidays. The original Super Mario Bros. Movie concluded at $1.36 billion worldwide in 2023, while A Minecraft Movie reached $960.3 million. This marks the eighth highest-grossing Illumination title ever and the third for a video game adaptation. Key international markets showed strong holds: Mexico added $11.3 million for a $47.9 million cume; France $7.7 million for nearly $24 million; Germany $7.6 million for $29.2 million; and the UK and Ireland $7.3 million for $37.5 million.
