Taylor Frankie Paul's ex-husband Tate Paul filed for a restraining order and sole custody of their two children in a Utah court this week. The filings come amid ongoing co-parenting disputes tied to their 2022 divorce.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Tate Paul submitted the request on Tuesday along with five exhibits and a declaration, all placed under seal. The couple shares children Indy and Ocean.
A source close to Taylor told TMZ the petition stems from claims made by her more recent ex, Dakota Mortensen. Taylor views the move as an attempt to hurt her through the children.
Dakota separately alleged to Bluffdale PD that Taylor violated a protective order multiple times, including by using a third party to arrange a visit with their son Ever while she was in rehab. Officers contacted Taylor and referred the matter to the district attorney's office.
Taylor's camp described Dakota's actions as part of ongoing intimidation, timed with her potential "Bachelorette" season airing soon.
