Tesla's agreement with Sourcewell, the nation's largest government purchasing cooperative, opens direct sales channels to over 50,000 U.S. government and higher education agencies. Public entities can now acquire Tesla vehicles with capped, pre-negotiated prices, simplifying fleet acquisitions without individual bidding requirements. This move accelerates Tesla's penetration into government markets nationwide. Tesla stated, “We’re enabling 50k+ US government & higher ed agencies to save thousands of $$$ in operating costs for their vehicle fleet over time through our new contract with Sourcewell, the nation’s largest government purchasing cooperative of its kind.” The initial term runs four years, expiring on November 13, 2029, with options for up to three one-year extensions, potentially extending to seven years total.
