Víctor Acosta, deputy mayor and Vox spokesperson in the Alcalá de Henares city council, has been reported for alleged crimes of sexual harassment, workplace harassment, threats and disclosure of secrets.
The complaint, filed by two municipal officials according to SoyDeMadrid, involves Elena Santana, director of Legal Services, and Ernesto Sanz, the municipal comptroller. The case affects the coalition government between PP and Vox in this city of more than 200,000 inhabitants.
Vox Madrid confirmed that its legal services are analyzing the complaint and rejects any conduct of harassment if proven. The party suggested the action could be part of a strategy to wear down Acosta over his oversight of municipal management, including the Ciudad Deportiva.
The PP expressed respect for the presumption of innocence of Acosta and any involved official. The conservative party stated it was unaware of the complaint's content and would comment later.
