Vin Diesel has begun production on Fast Forever, the 11th and final film in the Fast and the Furious franchise. He shared a behind-the-scenes update on Instagram on Thursday.
Vin Diesel posted a video from the set, saying production is underway for the movie scheduled to reach theaters on March 17, 2028. “I’m on set. People are grinding. Incredible crews are working,” he wrote. Diesel thanked fans for their patience over the past three and a half years.
The actor noted he has taken on other roles during the wait, including work on a Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots movie for Mattel Studios. He said he hopes the finale will make audiences proud.
The Fast and the Furious series, which began in 2001, has earned more than $7 billion worldwide. Furious 7 remains the highest earner with $1.5 billion. In May, Diesel announced that four Fast and Furious television shows are in development for Peacock.
