Williams team principal James Vowles stated that production delays during the winter and early 2026 Formula 1 season may ultimately strengthen the team.
Speaking at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Vowles explained that the team lost about two weeks due to the disruptions. He noted that Williams currently sits eighth in the Constructors' Championship after nine rounds.
Vowles described the delays as a catalyst for necessary structural changes. "Now, it's sorted. I actually think it's one of the best things that can happen to us," he said.
He highlighted past underinvestment over 20 years and the challenges of operating under the cost cap. Vowles expressed confidence that the issues will be resolved in the future.
