Wormhole Labs launched its Sunrise platform on Sunday to simplify the import of tokens from other ecosystems into Solana. The debut aligns with the upcoming mainnet launch of Monad and its token MON on Monday. This tool aims to provide seamless, day-one access to new assets for Solana users.
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Wormhole Labs unveiled Sunrise, a new platform designed to serve as the main gateway for bringing digital assets into the Solana blockchain. This unified interface enables token issuers and users to transfer assets from any blockchain ecosystem directly to Solana, addressing key hurdles in the network's growth.
Solana has experienced rapid expansion, but integrating new tokens has often involved fragmented liquidity pools, multi-step bridging procedures, and scarce early trading options. Sunrise positions itself as the standardized pathway—or "canonical route"—for these imports, streamlining the process into a single, efficient step.
The timing of the launch is notable, as it precedes the Monday activation of Monad's mainnet and the introduction of its native token, MON. Through Sunrise, Solana participants will gain immediate access to MON without relying on intricate networks of bridges or aggregators.
Further enhancing usability, Sunrise will integrate with the block explorer Orb and the decentralized exchange Jupiter. This setup ensures that imported cryptocurrencies can be instantly viewed, accessed, and traded within Solana.
The platform's initial significant trial will involve transferring MON from the Monad network to Solana in one seamless operation. Kuleen Nimkar, growth lead at the Solana Foundation, emphasized the broader implications: "Solana’s vision for internet capital markets means being the platform on which users can engage with any asset, including crypto assets that aren’t originated on Solana." She added, "Products like Sunrise are a critical part of enabling this future by giving non-native new assets a seamless, high-liquidity path into the network from day one."
By tackling these integration challenges, Sunrise supports Solana's ambition to become a central hub for diverse digital assets.
