Just days after launching his sixth studio album, Zach Bryan has unveiled a stripped-down acoustic edition. The new release features vocals and guitar across 24 tracks, paired with the original 25-song set. Fans have quickly embraced the project, voting it the week's top new album.
Zach Bryan, the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, dropped his sixth studio album, With Heaven on Top, on January 9, 2026, via Warner Records. The 25-track record, spanning nearly 80 minutes, was written, recorded, and produced entirely by Bryan in locations across Oklahoma, including Tulsa. Lyrically, it explores themes of life on the road, emotional fatigue, sobriety, love, quiet resilience, and social reflection. Standout tracks include "Bad News," which touches on national tensions, and the closing title track, portraying endurance as an act of grace. The album swiftly topped the US Apple Music chart.
On January 12, 2026, Bryan followed up with With Heaven on Top Acoustic, a digital collection emphasizing raw intimacy. This version includes 24 tracks performed with just vocals and guitar, accompanied by alternative cover art. Structured as a two-disc set, "Disc 1" offers the acoustic renditions—such as "Runny Eggs," "Appetite," "DeAnn's Denim," "Say Why," "Drowning," "Santa Fe," "Skin," "Dry Deserts," "Bad News," "South and Pine," "Cannonball," "Slicked Back," "Anyways," "If They Come Lookin'," "Rivers and Creeks," "Plastic Cigarette," "You Can Still Come Home," "Aeroplane," "Always Willin'," "Miles," "All Good Things Past," "Camper," "Sundown Girls," and "With Heaven On Top"—while "Disc 2" reprints the full original album, totaling 49 tracks.
Reception has been strong. In a recent X poll by inMusicBlog, With Heaven on Top garnered 40% of votes as the best new release, surpassing Bruno Mars's "I Just Might" (27%), The Kid LAROI's Before I Forget (22%), and A$AP Rocky's "Punk Rocky" (11%). Tickets for Bryan's 2026 With Heaven on Tour are now available, with physical formats for the album forthcoming.
