GM Vincent Keymer increased his lead to a full point in the Super Chess Classic Romania 2026 after GM Alireza Firouzja withdrew from the event. The withdrawal gave Keymer a forfeit win in round six while all other games ended in draws. Firouzja's decision came after an ankle injury that forced him to play previous games from a hotel bed.
