74-year-old man arrested for alleged stalking of female acquaintance

Police in Yoichi town, Hokkaido, arrested a 74-year-old man on suspicion of violating the anti-stalking law after he approached a female acquaintance in her 70s on July 14 and July 15.

The man continued his actions despite prior warnings to stay away from the woman, according to police. He is accused of visiting her home uninvited, leaving a letter, and lingering near her residence after she rejected his advances.

NTV reported the details of the case based on statements from local police. The arrest follows the reported incidents on those two days in July.
