AIA holds teachers' workshop for healthiest schools program 2025-2026

PT AIA Financial organized a Teachers' Workshop as part of the AIA Healthiest Schools 2025–2026 program on January 29–30, 2026, in the Jabodetabek area. The event involved teachers and students from elementary and junior high schools to build a learning ecosystem supporting physical, mental, and social health. It aimed to equip participants with strategies for innovative and sustainable healthy school programs.

Awareness of the importance of healthy school environments is growing in Indonesia. Schools are no longer seen solely as places for academic learning but also as spaces to form healthy living habits from an early age. Healthy school programs focus on the physical, mental, and social well-being of students, including balanced diets, regular physical activity, mental health, and sustainable environmental care.

The benefits extend to teachers and the school community, creating a comfortable learning atmosphere, reducing stress, and improving concentration and student achievement. Teachers play a key role as primary drivers, designing creative programs with capacity-building support.

In the AIA Healthiest Schools 2025–2026 Teachers' Workshop, participants attended school visits and sessions. They were equipped with methods to formulate program goals, strategies, outputs, and success indicators for healthy school projects. Students were directly involved in learning modules on mental health, active lifestyles, healthy eating, and healthy and sustainable concepts with volunteers.

Teachers participated in proposal development workshops to create innovative programs tailored to each school's learning environment needs. This approach is expected to produce relevant, long-term impactful health initiatives.

Lia Merdekawaty, Head of Corporate Communication at AIA, emphasized collaboration in health education. “Through AIA Healthiest Schools, we aim to deliver real impact for Indonesia's young generation. Health education is not just classroom material but a habit built together by teachers, students, and the school community. With these workshop sessions, we hope schools can formulate creative, relevant, and sustainable initiatives to realize healthier and more prosperous learning environments,” said Lia on February 1, 2026.
