Arkane Lyon's Marvel Blade project remains in development following initial reports that it might have been cancelled. A clarification from insider Jeff Grubb reversed earlier speculation about the game's status.
The game, unveiled at The Game Awards 2023, features an original story with Eric Brooks fighting vampires in Paris. It entered full production toward the end of 2024, with limited updates since then. Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb first suggested the project might be dead after its absence from the Xbox Games Showcase. He later posted on X that there are reasons it has not been shown publicly, but those reasons do not involve problems with the game. Studio director Dinga Bakaba stated in December that the team was hard at work and super proud of the project. He asked for patience, saying it would meet high standards. Arkane's Blade is still listed on the studio's website. Motive Studios' Iron Man game continues in development separately.
