Former president Joe Biden has gone to federal court in a bid to prevent the Trump administration from turning over audiotapes of his 2017 conversations with a ghostwriter. The move comes ahead of a Tuesday deadline set in a lawsuit brought by the Heritage Foundation.
Biden faces the deadline in a Freedom of Information Act case filed last year by the conservative group. The tapes involve roughly 70 hours of recordings made during sessions for his book Promise Me, Dad and were recovered during special counsel Robert Hur's probe into classified documents.
