BMKG forecasts light rain and fog across most major Indonesian cities

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency predicts varying rain intensity along with hazy and foggy conditions on Monday across several regions in Indonesia.

BMKG forecaster Henokhvita said light rain is expected in Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Pangkal Pinang, Bengkulu, Serang, and Jakarta. Light rain is also forecast for Bandung, Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, Denpasar, Mataram, Kupang, most of Sulawesi, Ternate, and most of Papua.

Moderate rain could occur in Medan, Ambon, and Jayapura. Thunderstorms are possible in Bandar Lampung, Semarang, Pontianak, Palangka Raya, and Banjarmasin.

Thick clouds are predicted over Banda Aceh and Pekanbaru. Hazy air may affect Palembang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, while smoke or fog is possible in Jambi.
