CBS analyst ranks Steelers offense 23rd around quarterback

A CBS Sports analyst has placed the Pittsburgh Steelers 23rd in the NFL for offensive infrastructure surrounding the quarterback position. The ranking comes after several offseason additions aimed at bolstering the attack.

CBS Sports analyst Jared Dubin ranked the Steelers at No. 23 overall in Tier 4, tied with the Baltimore Ravens. The assessment focuses on “which offenses are best positioned for success based on the talent with which the organization has chosen to surround their quarterback.”

The Steelers hired Mike McCarthy as head coach to call plays and added receiver Michael Pittman Jr. via trade. They also signed running back Rico Dowdle, extended tight end Darnell Washington, and selected receiver Germie Bernard after trading up in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns at age 42 for his second season with the team. Dubin noted the Steelers' running back tandem of Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle while questioning why the Ravens received a slight edge due to Derrick Henry.
