Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a superb long-range strike from outside the area. Andrey Santos doubled the lead in the 67th minute after a slick passing move involving Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto. Richarlison pulled one back for Tottenham late in the game, but the visitors could not find an equaliser despite pressure in stoppage time.
