Bollywood film Dhurandhar dominated the Chetak Screen Awards 2026 with 14 wins, including Best Actor for Ranveer Singh, Best Director for Aditya Dhar, and Best Supporting Actor for Akshaye Khanna. Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound won Best Film. Yami Gautam received Best Actress for Haq.
Dhurandhar dominates
Dhurandhar swept 14 categories at the Chetak Screen Awards 2026, including Best Actor (Male) for Ranveer Singh, Best Director for Aditya Dhar, and Best Supporting Actor (Male) for Akshaye Khanna. The film won in editing, sound design, special effects, cinematography, production design, background score, action, hairstyling, and make-up. It shared the Best Costume award with Chhaava.
Homebound and other winners
Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound, inspired by a true story of friendship and tragedy during the Covid lockdown, won Best Film. Ishaan Khatter said, “This film is an effort to give voice to the voiceless and I would like to thank everyone for giving our film a voice.” The award was presented by Nita Mukesh Ambani and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Haq won Best Actress for Yami Gautam Dhar's portrayal of Shah Bano and Best Film for Gender Sensitivity.
Lifetime and OTT awards
Dharmendra received the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously, presented by Javed Akhtar, Fadnavis, and Ramesh Sippy. Bobby Deol said emotionally, “Papa, you are the best.” In OTT, Stolen won four awards, while Sanya Malhotra took Best OTT Actress for Mrs.
Event highlights
The ceremony was hosted by Alia Bhatt, Sunil Grover, Zakir Khan, and Saurabh Dwivedi. A humorous exchange between Saurabh Dwivedi and Rajpal Yadav on his cheque bounce case drew laughs. Instituted by The Indian Express Group in 1995, the awards returned after a seven-year hiatus.
