Cool Kid Summer at Disney World runs from May 26 to September 2026 through September 8, offering limited-time activities across the parks and resorts. Several attractions are set to debut or reopen around this period. In Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens April 8 with new ride vehicles, blasters, targets, and a character named Buddy. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is slated for early May, featuring new geysers, lighting, effects, and a smoother track, described by Disney as bringing “new magic” and the “shine and polish” of a full refurbishment. Jessie’s Roundup arrives at the Diamond Horseshoe, where guests can craft, dance, and yodel with Toy Story characters like Jessie; it will likely serve meals similar to neighboring Liberty Tree Tavern and function as a dinner show. At EPCOT, Soarin’ Over The World closes May 14, with Soarin’ Across America debuting May 26 to mark the U.S. 250th anniversary, soaring over American landscapes. GoofyCore returns at CommuniCore Hall for dancing and silliness. Hollywood Studios sees Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! open May 26, featuring an adventure to find Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto, alongside an outdoor courtyard. Late summer brings The Magic of Disney Animation with character meets, Olaf drawing, and a playground inspired by Alice in Wonderland art. Animal Kingdom gains permanent Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station on May 26, including meets with Bluey and Bingo, games, and an Australian petting zoo at Jumping Junction. Water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach both operate, offering resort guests free entry on check-in day and summer character meets with Goofy and Stitch. Disney Springs hosts dance parties with music from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3. Select resorts—Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans Riverside—add family amenities like scheduled character visits, pool parties, themed libraries, and pajama story times. Discounts include a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic ticket from $436 plus tax for May 26 to October 3; a free dining plan with qualifying 4-night packages booked March 12 to April 30 for later stays; up to 35% off for Florida residents and 40% for annual passholders on 4+ night stays.
