Egypt's planning minister meets UNDP representative on cooperation

He highlighted proactive steps to improve economic conditions based on recent reforms, expanding the private sector's role in infrastructure financing and entrepreneurship, and developing data systems alongside governance and institutional capacity.

Noguchi voiced the UNDP's appreciation for Egypt's strong commitment to its reform agenda, praising its ability to handle immediate priorities while keeping long-term strategic objectives in focus. She affirmed the programme's key coordinating role in supporting Egyptian ministries, particularly the Ministry of Planning, to strengthen national planning and advance economic and social development programmes.
