The Egyptian Tax Authority will launch a White List of the country’s most tax-compliant taxpayers. The list will offer incentives and priority services under the second package of tax facilitation measures. ETA Head Rasha Abdel Aal said the package aims to encourage voluntary compliance in line with directives from Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk.

Eligible taxpayers will be selected automatically based on objective risk-based criteria without human intervention. Benefits include expedited VAT refunds, certificates of appreciation, priority access to specialised units, and a dedicated hotline. Selected taxpayers will receive a Tax Excellence Card in Platinum, Gold, or Silver categories.

The names of those on the White List will be announced at the upcoming Thank You 2 Conference. Abdel Aal also announced that the ETA will soon launch a mobile application for real estate transactions. Users will upload documents, have tax calculated automatically, pay electronically, and obtain clearance certificates.
