Law enforcement arrested Abraham Alvarez, 31, of Omaha, on Sunday at an old church in Western, Nebraska. Alvarez, who is not a U.S. citizen, allegedly led the group under the name “Shepherd” in a Signal chat called “Hunters.” He assigned roles including snipers and drone operators and shared maps of Washington, D.C., with instructions for escape routes along the Potomac River.
Tycen Proper, 19, was arrested in Ohio after his mother, Danielle Proper, contacted police on June 10 about his firearms purchases and online contacts. Proper allegedly bought thousands of rounds of ammunition and rifles with graduation money. He later confessed to investigators about planning the coordinated attack during the event.
The group discussed secondary strikes on evacuees and notified other factions for support. Proper and Alvarez were among five people charged with conspiracy and related offenses. Some members expressed anti-government views tied to issues including the Epstein files and data centers.
