Former U.S. Olympian David Hearn was indicted on Thursday on a felony charge. The charge alleges he tore up roughly two feet of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool last month.
The indictment comes amid ongoing issues with algae blooms at the site and political debate over the president's $16 million renovation plan.
Hearn faces the charge in connection with the damage to the historic pool in Washington.
CBS News reporter Nicole Sganga covered the development.
