Four injured in Emurua Dikirr by-election clashes

Four people were injured after supporters of the United Democratic Alliance and Democracy for Citizens Party clashed during the Emurua Dikirr by-election on Thursday.

The incident took place near the Chelemei and Kiribwet polling stations in Kapsasian Ward, Narok County. Police confirmed clashes between supporters of the two parties as 44,457 voters chose a new MP to replace Johana Ngeno, who died in a helicopter crash.

The IEBC cleared five candidates, including David Kipsang Keter of the UDA and Vincent Rotich of the DCP. Narok County Police Commander Patrick Lobolia confirmed the violence, while candidates appealed for calm.
