Ghaziabad gets multi-speciality private hospital, CM hails new era in healthcare

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the 1200-bed multi-speciality private hospital Yashoda Medicity in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a new era in healthcare investment and innovation. The President urged collaboration to promote technologies like cancer gene therapy.

President Droupadi Murmu, during the inauguration of Yashoda Medicity in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram, lauded the hospital for its focus on indigenous medical research. She urged it to collaborate with institutes like IIT Bombay to promote technologies such as cancer gene therapy. "Healthcare is the foundation of nation-building. Institutions like Yashoda Medicity play a vital role not only in treatment but also in research and innovation. Yashoda Medicity has aligned itself with national health priorities and emerged as a symbol of affordable, world-class healthcare for all," the President said. She also praised the hospital's commitment to addressing diseases prevalent in tribal regions, including sickle cell anemia.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, "This is not just a hospital but a new definition of world-class healthcare infrastructure." He added that residents of Uttar Pradesh would no longer require travelling to Delhi for advanced medical treatment. He noted that the project had created employment for over 5,000 people, reflecting the changing investment climate of the state.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who attended the event, said, "Every step, every policy, and every effort of our government is dedicated to uplifting the poor, the underprivileged, and the rural population. We believe that India's true empowerment lies in the health of its citizens."
