Indonesia's Traffic Corps of National Police announced plans for a national one-way traffic arrangement to handle the peak Eid return flow predicted on March 24, 2026. Korlantas Chief Irjen Pol. Agus Suryonugroho made the statement at the Command Center Post KM 29 Tol Cikampek, West Java, on Friday, March 20, 2026. He noted the scheme would start from Kalikangkung Toll Gate if vehicle volumes are high per traffic counts. Initially segmental from KM 414 Kalikangkung, Semarang, Central Java, to Pejagan Toll, extendable to KM 70 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll if needed. “On the 24th, when the predicted return flow with traffic counting at Kalikangkung Toll Gate, we will implement national one-way for return traffic,” said Agus Suryonugroho. Previously, national one-way for outbound Eid traffic was applied from March 17, 2026, segmentally from KM 70 Cikampek Utama Gate to KM 263 Trans Java Toll, then expanded to KM 414 Kalikangkung on March 18. It was halted at 1:22 PM WIB on March 20 as traffic eased and was under control. “With permission from Kapolri General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the outbound or national one-way is temporarily closed,” Agus Suryonugroho stated. Directorate General of Land Transportation Kemenhub's Aan Suhanan urged using the work-from-anywhere policy to spread return dates, such as March 25 to 29, to reduce congestion.
