National coach Néstor Lorenzo has stressed the importance of regular competition for his players' performance.
Throughout his career, Rodríguez has played for 12 clubs: Envigado, Banfield, Porto, AS Monaco, Real Madrid, Bayern Múnich, Everton, Al Rayyan, Olympiacos, Sao Paulo, Rayo Vallecano, and Club León.
