Jennifer Stone returns as Harper in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place final season

Disney+ announced that Jennifer Stone will reprise her role as Harper Finkle in the third and final season of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, following the recent renewal for four summer episodes. The reveal included a first-look photo of Stone with Selena Gomez on set. Stone joins other returning cast members for the series farewell.

Disney+ revealed on Friday that Jennifer Stone, known for playing Alex Russo's best friend Harper in the original Wizards of Waverly Place, will return for the spin-off's concluding season. A shared photo shows Stone posing with Selena Gomez—who plays Alex—during filming.

This reunion of familiar faces builds on earlier announcements, with Gregg Sulkin reprising Mason Greybeck and Maria Canals-Barrera returning as Theresa Russo. Jake T. Austin, who played Max Russo, has not appeared in the spin-off, though the series premiere noted Max turned the family sub shop into a billion-dollar franchise. David DeLuise, the original Jerry Russo, guest-starred in season one but is not expected back.

As previously announced, the four-episode season—titled 'One Last Spell'—premieres this summer. It centers on Billie, reeling from losing her mother Alex at the end of season two, reuniting with her long-lost father. The family bands together to rescue Alex and defeat an evil threat using their combined powers. Selena Gomez, an executive producer, will direct and guest-star in the premiere episode.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place continues the story from the 2007-2012 Disney Channel series, following grown-up Justin Russo (David Henrie) as he mentors new wizards including his sons Roman and Milo, and Billie.
