Jun Hyosung reveals working three years for no pay

Secret member Jun Hyosung shared details of a tough period in her career during a recent reunion with comedian Kim Sook. The discussion took place in a video uploaded to Kim Sook's YouTube channel on June 15, 2026.

Kim Sook recalled noticing a shift in Hyosung's energy while filming the MBC Every1 variety show Video Star. She stated that Hyosung had not received any payment for her work over three years.

Jun Hyosung confirmed the account and reflected on the experience. “It was right around the time I was going from my 20s into my 30s,” she said. “Back then, I didn’t know how to find happiness outside of work. I learned a lot about life during that time. I became more mature.”

The disclosure comes as Jun Hyosung rejoins fellow Secret members Jung Hana and new member Yebin. The group is set to release its special mini-album Secret Flavor on June 18.
